The DigiCraft Plus project addresses key Erasmus+ priorities by promoting inclusion, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning for adults living in rural and geographically remote areas. The project responds to the socio-economic challenges faced by rural communities, including unemployment, limited access to training opportunities, digital exclusion, and the gradual decline of traditional craftsmanship.
DigiCraft Plus combines traditional artisanal knowledge with innovative digital technologies, enabling participants to acquire practical competences in digital fabrication (such as 3D printing and laser cutting), digital design, e-commerce, and digital marketing. Through an innovative training programme, digital learning resources, pilot training activities, and an online platform, the project empowers rural artisans and unemployed adults to modernise their businesses, preserve cultural heritage, improve employability, and create sustainable economic opportunities.
The project also integrates themes of environmental sustainability, equality, social inclusion, and active European citizenship, while promoting the exchange of good practices and transnational cooperation among partner organisations. By bridging the digital divide and strengthening entrepreneurial competences, DigiCraft Plus contributes to the sustainable development and resilience of rural communities across Europe.
